Key Responsibilities:
Review construction drawings, installation manuals, and other technical documentation to understand project requirements. Perform on-site inspections of solar PV module mounting structures, tracker systems, electrical connections, and other mechanical components. Verify that materials, equipment, and workmanship meet the specified quality standards and manufacturer's recommendations. Identify and document any non-conformities or deficiencies, and work with the project team to resolve issues. Maintain detailed inspection records and provide regular progress reports to the Bureau Veritas project manager. Collaborate with the construction and engineering teams to address technical questions and provide guidance on best practices. Ensure that all inspection activities adhere to Bureau Veritas' quality management system and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a mechanical inspector or technician, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry. Strong knowledge of solar PV system components, installation methods, and applicable codes and standards (e.g., IEC, UL, NEC). Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Certification or training in quality inspection, such as ISO 9001 or ASNT, is preferred. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
