**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** A production company in Ramsey, MN is currently hiring Mechanical Assemblers for shift work. This company manufactures workout and gym equipment, including ellipticals, weight racks, tension weight machines, and many others. Employees will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks required to assemble, prep sub-assemblies, and move completed units. There are 32 different machines they will be responsible for assembling. **Responsibilities** + Complete assembly of various models of machines following established procedures. + Move machines as required. + Verify completed machines meet quality standards and initial paperwork. + Use a manual and electric pallet jack. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently. + Ability to bend, twist, or turn repeatedly throughout the shift. + 6 months of previous working experience. + Preferably 6 months of previous assembly or manufacturing experience. + Able to work with power tools or hand tools, mechanically inclined. + Good work history, even if it is not in manufacturing. + Ability to operate small air, hand, and electric tools. + Ability to read work instructions and drawings. + Ability to effectively communicate. + Ability to accurately read a tape measure. + Good memorization skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with mechanical assembly and tools. + Mechanically inclined and able to work in a labor-intensive role. **Why Work Here?** As a contractor, you will have access to the company's state-of-the-art gym. However, it is the newest part of the building, making it fairly nice, well-lit with skylights, and organized. Employees are trained on multiple assembly lines, requiring versatility. Instead of a traditional assembly line, work is done in 'assembly pods' composed of roughly 3-4 people, where they will assemble certain machines. Employees will learn one 'pod/cell' at a time and then cross-train into other areas.
