Fillauer Motion Control, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of robotic artificial arms used by amputee wearers. These ‘Myo-Electric Prosthetic’ devices are manufactured in Salt Lake City. Fillauer Motion Control, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to assemble and test mechanical assemblies, including small geared robotic hands and arms, and small transmission and motor assemblies. The position may also be responsible for the operation of a plastic injection molding machine.

Your Impact Assembles products using instructions, bills of materials and engineering drawingsInterprets technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, or other verbal or written instructionsDocuments actions by electronically recording labor for each jobEnsures quality standards are metVerifies specifications by measuring completed componentIdentifies any defective items and handles according to established proceduresResolves assembly problems by communicating with peers or supervisorsMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with company standardsUses hand tools, power tools, custom fixtures, drill presses, arbor presses, ovens, heat guns and other light duty equipmentMay perform painting, laser etching, sewing and/or plastic thermoforming Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.Must have knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and techniques.Use of micrometers, test indicators and measurement calipers.Must have a willingness to learn and be cross-trained into areas of high complexity.Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures. Ability to read blue prints preferred.
