Volt is immediately hiring Assemblers in Downtown San Diego, CA.

\r\n\r\n

As an Assembler you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tLay out, join, form, fasten, assemble, install and functionally check prefabricated sheet, tubular, machined, mechanical or formed parts and assemblies preparatory to, during and after welding, installation and during or after tool proofing.\r\n\tLoad braze alloys; make and install core;
\r\n\tand deburr such items as machined parts.\r\n\tWork from written and verbal instructions to lay out, assemble and install prefabricated sheet, tubular, machined, mechanical, and formed parts to build up subassemblies and assemblies.;\r\n\tPrepare mixtures of braze alloys and adhesives and apply to various assemblies prior to furnace brazing. Prepare and apply proper stopoff.\r\n\tPerform complete setup for any cell size and operate core fabricating machines to fabricate metal honeycomb cores per specifications.\r\n\tHand finish machined and other parts and assemblies to close tolerances, involving varied contours, holes, radii, angles and flanges.\r\n\tOperate material pouring equipment and such processing equipment as degreasers, metal finishing machines and ovens.\r\n\tIdentify materials, parts and assemblies as required.\r\n\tPrepare surfaces of parts and assemblies prior to painting. Includes cleaning, sanding and masking.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full-time opportunity, position is 15 months temp which also offers a foot in the door of a top company. Hours are M-F from 2pm – 10:30pm. You have to be able to train on 1st shift for 3 – 4 weeks for training. Overtime and weekends required.

\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\t1 year or more of assembly experience\r\n\tHave the ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions\r\n\tStrong communication skills\r\n\tBackground and drug test required\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $22/hr

\r\n\r\n
