Job Description
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play a crucial role in assembling electrical mechanical equipment and other sub-assemblies while testing powered suspended access equipment and accessories. This position requires a skilled professional to work with complex components and ensure high-quality assembly, function, and testing.
ResponsibilitiesComplete the assembly of complex components with minimal supervision.Meet measured cycle times for assembly tasks.Fit, function, and test assembled components under limited supervision.Utilize required hand tools and equipment according to verbal and written instructions.Troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, and test components.Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn various assembly methods.Perform daily 5S and continuously improve work cell performance.Carry out any other tasks or duties as assigned.Essential SkillsAssembly and mechanical skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.Proficiency in using tape measures and similar measuring devices.Understanding of written standard work instructions.Knowledge of calibrated equipment used in assembly.Proficiency in using hand and powered tools for assembly.Self-motivated and quick learner with strong attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.Five or more years of experience in electrical/mechanical assembly, installation, or repair.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position operates on the production floor alongside other manufacturing processes such as welding and metal fabrication, with a moderate noise level. Employees work in a tight warehouse with forklifts and trucks moving both inside and outside. The warehouse is not insulated and has limited lighting. Work is performed at bench stations with tools and parts, requiring lifting of items up to 50 pounds, as well as bending, reaching, and moving. The shift starts at 5am.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
