Experienced Diesel Mechanic I – Camanche, IA

This is a full-time, hourly level position. Potential assignments may include, but are not limited to:Perform preventive maintenance on tractors and trailersCertification of performing A/C freon recovery and recharging, perform repairs on A/C Perform brake repairsTroubleshoot and repair electrical systemsMount and dismount tiresPerform diagnostics with laptop computerComponent replacement starters, alternators, and batteriesCosmetic repairs, decals, reflective tape, fenders, and bumpersPressure test hydraulic systems and hose replacementPerform Annual DOT inspections on tractors and trailers Rebuild componentsTo be considered for an opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:Follow and promote safe work environment.Maintain a good attendance record. (No more than 3 days unexcused absent in calendar year).Maintain good communications with all Trucking personnel.Ability to work well with others.Maintains good housekeeping.Ability to understand and perform assigned job tasks easily within employee’s classification.Perform job task within job standard time of classification.Ability to perform job tasks by understanding and following work procedures.Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems that apply to employee’s classification.Ability to pass all test required of classification.This position offers a complete benefit package, including 401K/ESOP, pension, health, life and dental insurance. ​
