Location Overview

Crown Cork & Seal in Effingham, South Carolina is a state-of-the-art facility that produces various size food cans with one of South Carolina's leading Food producers as a major client.  We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team. This is your opportunity to join Crown's global organization. We are currently looking for a Mechanic.

Position Overview

This position will be responsible for maintaining, operating, and monitoring the quality of production lines. This position reports directly to the PM&R Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities-Essential Functions

Start and maintain machines to determine efficiency and quality Monitor and problem-solve processes or equipment for quality and productivity Complete quality checks utilizing precision equipment to ensure the product is within all control limits Take ownership of line equipment which includes daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance Diagnose and problem-solve mechanical/electrical problems by utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs Dismantle and reassemble machinery with hand tools, jacks, hoists, and other applicable tools to complete repairs, changeovers, or maintenance work Ability to use and read measuring equipment to make the necessary adjustments to machines Own and operate production equipment following current GMPs and SOPs Adhere to all food safety policies and procedures Performs other duties as required or assigned
