HRD251832 : Job description for Mechanical Design Engineer-II – Manufacturing Process Development
This position is for Healthcare Sensing engineering team specialized in development of sensors that are miniature in size and low in power consumption. They deliver accuracy, intelligence, reliability and robustness to meet the requirement of high volume medical (consumer and non consumer) devices, commercial and industrial applications.. This role will have the lead responsibility of transferring Design to Manufacturing and implementing mass manufacturing processes of this sensor development in Honeywell factories
Responsibility:
In NPI projects, work with design and manufacturing teams to develop, tests and establish manufacturing of products in our global factoriesIdentify gaps and opportunities for improvement through new equipment technologies or modifications to existing process.Bridges manufacturing and R&D teams to ensure quality, new product introductions and capability enhancements are delivered effectively.Need to define process & equipment specification, setting- up and proving out the production processes at factory locations at China, Mexico and USA. Develop Process Map, PFMEA, assembly fixture/tooling concepts, and other process documents for parts, assemblies and finished products.Create equipment specifications for new sensor designs and collaborate with cross-functional team to build and implement production equipment.Conversant with Six-Sigma / lean methodologies and tools. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions using process control tools such as FMEA, PMAP, Cpk Analysis. Lead equipment qualification, gauge RR, MSA, process qualification, production process documentation and must ensure product meets yield and PPM requirementsShould have capable of preparing project proposal for manufacturing setup with estimation of timeline, product cost, project expense and capital cost.Support Mfg Readiness Level evaluations for programs throughout NPI phases and drive Mfg Readiness to phase gate expectationsGood in verbal and written communicationHTSIND2022
Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with Minimum manufacturing and process related experience of 6+ years in product manufacturing or process development. Minimum of two years working experience in factory.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with high volume manufacturing and new product introduction. Experience in developing new technology/process with external vendors, vendor qualification and process optimizationProficient with Pro-Engineer or any other CAD software Skill in plastic molding, metal forming, joining process – welding, soldering, potting and encapsulation, design of process fixtures is preferredShould have knowledge on lean production system.Should have knowledge on control plan and create control plan for NPI projects.Process Validation, Process costing knowledge shall require.Should have experience in Problem solving tools RCA(root cause analysis), A3 , DOE and 8D report to resolve issues during NPI and customer complaints.Additional InformationJOB ID: HRD251832Category: EngineeringLocation: HW Camp II,Bldgs 9A&9B,Plot C2,RMZ Ecoworld,Varturhobli,Sarjapur Marathahalli Outer Ring Road,Bangalore,KARNATAKA,560103,IndiaExempt
