+ POSITION SUMMARY: + Under the direction of the Director of Nursing-LTC, coordinates all Medicare assessments, care planning and reimbursement activities for the facility to assure compliance with regulatory agencies. + QUALIFICATIONS: + EDUCATION: + Minimum: + Graduate from a Registered Professional Nursing Program. + Preferred: + BSN + LICENSE: + Minimum: + Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license + PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: + Minimum: + BLS through RQI upon hire + Preferred : + Certification in MDS and PRI + WORK EXPERIENCE: + Minimum: + Familiarity with documentation requirements for reimbursement. + Knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations, and survey process. + MDS, and care planning experience. + SKILLS: + Minimum: + Demonstrated leadership abilities. + Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. + Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. + Computer literacy + Preferred : + Experience with Microsoft Office products and MDS/care planning software + Salary Range: $38.01-$42.00
