Materials Specialist II
Northern Light Acadia Hospital Department: Materials Management Position is located: Acadia Work Type: Full Time Hours Per Week: 32.00 Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Summary: Performs administrative and physical tasks associated with ERP PAR order/replenishment, PAR level adjustments (labels, tracking, etc.), Returns, Maintain Mailroom, and Customer Service. Responsible for replenishment of multiple cost centers with additional responsibility of constant adjustment of PAR levels for seasonality, business need, or lack of use in the facility. Van Driver duties Performs patient transport duties while maintaining patient confidentiality, pickup and delivery of external and internal mail from varied locations. Maintains vehicle cleanliness and road compliance and notifies appropriate staff of vehicle issues. Maintain inhouse mailroom sorting and distributing mail, keeping mail supplies stocked, and maintaining room cleanliness. Responsibilities: + Receive in Mobile Supply Chain (MSCM) and CSF (Cloudsuite Financials). + Order Periodic Automated Replenishment (PAR) supplies in Specialty areas (I.E OR / Cardiology). + Re-Stocking of Specialty areas (I.E Inpatient Areas / Outpatient Areas). + Communication with Department staff and Leadership on Backorder and/or product issue. + Expiration Tracking (FIFO) quarterly or as needed for items with short-shelf life. + Assist departments with product questions. + Management of PAR locations, through Value Analysist committee (VAC) conversions, adds, and deletes. + Working with purchasing on process for returning products. + Ability to provide oversight of daily operations as needed. + Ability to place departmental order request. + Ability to provide outstanding customer service. + May be expected to perform duties at a higher or lower level for short term coverage. + Patient Transport to and from appointments. + Retrieve outgoing mail from inhouse mailroom drop of and retrieve mail from post office. + Pickup Medical Records, Inter Office Mail from other locations (IE EMMC, Cianchette, NEC). + Pickup or Drop Off legal documents to courts and Dorthy Dix for signatures and processing. + Maintain Vehicle. + Other pickups or delivers as needed. + Other duties as assigned. Other Information: + Maintain storeroom and equipment. + Order and deliver supplies for various areas. + Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary. + Must be able to hear and verbally communicate with the team and healthcare professionals, etc. + Must be able to read, write, and have legible handwriting. + Ability to operate Materials Handling Equipment (I.E. Pallet Jack, Forklift). + 2-3 years of experience in warehousing/Materials Management. This is to include materials handling and ERP/MRP experience. + Must have valid driver's license. + Will work inside throughout the facility, standing on feet most of an entire shift. Conditions may be very cold and very hot depending on outside temperature. Will be required to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts according to the needs of the department.
