Materials Planning and Purchasing Associate
Area of Responsibility:
Complete and coordinate NTM and Leaf components, focusing on short, mid, and long-term material requirements planning. Your work will be based on market requirements, specifications, NPD plans, inventory targets, sourcing and lead times, optimum lot size, transport unit load factors, and materials shelf life. Continuously analyze and optimize materials requirements and inventory turnover to ensure minimum materials write-offs. Perform tasks related to timely purchasing of raw materials, including cutting of Raw Material Purchase Orders, timely Order Confirmations, Purchase Order expediting, and timely delivery monitoring. Handle complaints through the Material Defect process, maintain accurate SAP data, and resolve invoice/goods receipt queries among the warehouse, BSC, and suppliers. Collaborate closely with the Production Planning team, R&D, Global Procurement, BSC, Finance, Quality, Logistics, Customer Service, Production, and other functions. Your goal will be to resolve issues and ensure efficient procurement, purchasing, and payment processes. Ensure shipping documents are accurate for customs clearing. Support all Global and Local NTM projects and tests, coordinating their implementation in the factory. Assist factory functions in achieving raw materials inventory targets and seek opportunities to reduce inventories with suppliers, such as vendor-managed inventory or kanban ordering systems. Coordinate technical visits from suppliers when necessary to support production and complete the Defective NTM procedure in a timely manner. Coordinate and improve all processes within your area of responsibility. Maintain SAP APO factory database accuracy and lead all aspects of monthly performance. Ensure full compliance with JTI Code of Conduct, EHS procedures, labor law, corporate guidelines, internal regulations, ISO requirements, and 5S3R principles. Align with EHS procedures and maintain a safe and healthy workplace by understanding potential hazards, participating in training, and following safety signs and instructions.
Position Requirements:
Education: College degree or equivalent experience Proficient in English, both written and spoken Minimum of 2 years of experience in an FMCG company within a Planning and/or Procurement function. Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Basic knowledge of SAP ERP & APO Systems. Experience with SAP R3 P2P module. Ability to plan and purchase raw materials, ensuring delivery aligns with production plan requirements and ongoing factory projects. Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully implementing and managing materials planning and purchasing processes. Your ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken, is essential to this role.
