How will you make an impact?

The Material Planner is responsible for the active management of raw material on-hand inventory and incoming POs for consumable life sciences products, ensuring high levels of order fulfillment and inventory optimization.

What will you do?

Work closely with procurement partners and suppliers to manage delivery dates and raw material availabilityAct on daily raw material PO MRP messages indicating expedites, push outs or cancellations.Take all reasonable steps to avoid back-order positions on all categories within scope and expeditiously resolve any that should arise, seeking out root causes and taking ownership for driving corrective actions.Actively maintain adequate safety stocks to ensure back-order goals are met through judicious use of inventory and identify anomalies in demand or supply that require timely updating of safety stock targets to insure uninterrupted supply.Review Below SS, Kanban Items, Value Order Policies, Min/Max Order Quantities, Blanket POs, Current Inventory positions, etc.Raise and resolve issues where there is reason to believe that extraordinary risk, duration or magnitude of back-order position exists.Make good use of all relevant tools and take ownership for identification of –and resolution of – all data quality issues that may hinder the execution of duties within category and across sites where applicable.Actively participate in continuous training and education to ensure skills grow.

How will you get there?

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain or materials managementAPICS or other relevant supply chain certifications highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years previous MRP planning experience.Demonstrated proficiency in ERP/MRP Planning systems, including full understanding of all relevant planning parameters.In-Depth knowledge of planning software (MRP), preferably Oracle E1, SAP
or similar.Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge of planning, purchasing, and shop floor systems.Solid understanding of concepts of inventory flow throughout the supply chain.Strong understanding of concepts of inventory management and distribution planning.Supplier communication experience desired.Customer service focus.Ability to develop and provide reports to satisfy ongoing inquires on inventory, capacity, and product availability.Proficient writing skills to develop routine reports and correspondences that are clear and concise.Strong verbal communication skills to effectively communicate critical information.Good problem solving skills to successfully resolve problems varying in complexity relative to job level.

The salary range estimated for this position is $59,400.00 - $89,100.00. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $59,400.00–$89,100.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
