About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. Responsibilities Conduct local procurement actions utilizing government credit card procedures. Analyze supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings. Review work order material list for accuracy. Research required supply items for item availability. Utilize forklift for loading and unloading materials. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Materials Expediter (Direct Hiring Authority) ~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common duties which include processing parts requests received through electronic correspondence utilizing computer software; maintaining physical custody of material to remain in compliance; and moving materials to various work areas to ensure workplace is safe - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical Efforts: Regularly handles items weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted and carries up to 25 feet. Occasionally handles weight up to 60 pounds. Material handling devices and assistance of other workers are available for handling especially heavy items. Heavy exertion is frequent. Constant kneeling, crouching, stooping, walking is required. Working Conditions: Regularly exposed to possible injury associated with handling parts and materials. Work is usually performed indoors in a well-lighted and ventilated production shop area. May be exposed for short periods to outdoor conditions. Regularly exposed to shop noises, dirt, fumes, and vibrations Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
