Materials Coordinator

Responsible for inventory management, ordering, monitoring, and tracking of surgical implants, supplies and human tissue.  This position works closely with the specialty ANMs, Inventory Control Specialists, and Material Management team to coordinate and ensure the delivery of products in a timely manner.  Participates in Value Analysis activities and coordinates the delivery of implants from vendors and/or other facilities.  Provides vendors with purchase orders for non-stock items used during surgery; accounts for all lot and serial numbers for human, bovine, and porcine tissue in accordance with Joint Commission guidelines and complies with all other regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Experience in advanced computer software applications, including MS Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's Degree or Up to 12 months post high school training in a healthcare material management environment which utilized a perpetual inventory supply system. Coursework/Training: Completion of formal training program in materials management, surgical technology, or military hospital corpsman. 2 years Current operating room. Inventory control or accounting.
