Material Technician
Description o Test sample preparation o Inventory and label in process and finished samples for data and sample traceability throughout testing lifecycle. o Planarize/sand/polish samples. o Perform cross-sections for measurement and evaluation. o Prepare outside vendor sample test plan template for engineering supervisor review. o Organize and track samples sent out for imaging (CSAM, SEM, ect) o Test sample testing and measurement o Communicate test results, observations, images, and test data to Engineering supervisors. o Perform testing  Keyence imaging  Optical microscope imaging  Thermal profile testing (outgas/reflow testing)  Electrical resistance measurement  Thermal shock  Push out strength  Test dimension measurements o Support Applications Engineers in test sample compaction process as needed. o Trained as a backup for compaction process. o Prepare test boards as needed (clean, cut to size, mount stencils, mount board for processing). o Data entry of process conditions into databases Skills Materials Testing, Metals, Laboratory, Chemistry, Quality control Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: o B.S. in Chemistry or related field highly desired o 1+ years of industry experience in a related field o Materials testing background , experience working with metals, QC background , lab experience, basic computer skills (MS excel, word, etc). o Hands-on, good time management skills, attention to detail, organized, collaborative, flexible, self-motivated person. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
