Material Specialist (Onsite)
**Job Description** Perform receiving, storing, packaging, transportation, and documentation of materials, tools, and product shipments. Perform manual and clerical tasks involving receiving, storing, and dispersing of material, tools, and work-in-process and systems transactions. Establish, maintain, and replenish unique storage areas, stock stations, and line stock areas as necessary. Maintain files of processed documents pertaining to receipts, storage, disbursements, work-in-process, processed shop orders, receivers, packing slips, requisitions, pick lists, etc., and moves of all types of materials, tools, and product shipments. Stage incoming and outgoing items for packaging for shipment; establish proper packaging methods in accordance with applicable military, commercial, and/or company requirements. Obtain or fabricate appropriate packaging material to ensure adherence to applicable standards and to prevent damage to the items being packaged. Gather and stage components of various types of kits. Facilitate and coordinate the ordering, and maintenance of various tools. Maintain records of such. Perform systems transactions related to the performance of any and all of the above job duties (i.e. movement of materials, supplies, blueprints, etc. as determined by area supervision). Perform related transportation tasks in support of the Manufacturing Organization. To include but not limited to, intra-plant and offsite pick-up and delivery of company and government property. Make pickups at and deliveries to vendors, depots, freight terminals, stores, Post Office and warehouses as dispatched. Load or cooperate with others in loading and unloading vehicle. Responsible for the checking of load for safety and correctness of loading procedures prior to movement. Check pickups and deliveries against shipping papers and handle all necessary paperwork. May exert frequent physical energy. Lift and carry heavy objects, bending, stooping, and reaching. May work extended hours or weekends. May handle and transport hazardous material. Drive company vehicles. Perform cycle count and reports of stock items. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Must have a valid driver's license (with no infractions) to drive trucks, vans or passenger vehicles as required. + High School Diploma or Equivalent + Forklift experience + Two Years of related Material Handling experience + Two Years transportation experience + Communicate effectively both orally and written + Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing and coordinating with company personnel and suppliers + Utilize computer skills to perform necessary transactions + Ability to operate pallet jacks, load dolly and cart + Make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles, and applicable state, motor vehicle traffic, and federal laws and regulations **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Must have a valid driver's license (with no infractions) to drive trucks, vans or passenger vehicles as required. + High School Diploma or Equivalent + ESD (Electro-Static-Discharge) and Material Handling Certifications + Forklift Certification + Two Years of related Material Handling experience + Two Years transportation experience + Communicate effectively both orally and written + Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing and coordinating with company personnel and suppliers + Utilize computer skills to perform necessary transactions + Ability to operate pallet jacks, load dolly and cart + Make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles, and applicable state, motor vehicle traffic, and federal laws and regulations **Material Specialist (Onsite)** **106426BR** EEO Career Site Equal Opportunity Employer.
