Material Quality Engineer Job Category: Engineering and Technical Support Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: None Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None * * * **The Opportunity:** + The Material Quality Engineer/Inspector is responsible for Quality Assurance inspections in support of the receiving of machined parts, cable harnesses, electronic assemblies, ad optics. + This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Orlando, Florida. + This position is for the day shift generally working 07:00 – 04:00 **Responsibilities:** + Performs Quality Assurance inspections for fabricated parts/assemblies, cable assemblies, and PCBA Assemblies. + Performs continuity, and isolation testing in accordance with engineering documentation and specifications. + Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical and/or electrical inspection utilizing standard documentation, procedures, and precision measuring devices to support final inspection. + Accept/reject for conformance to standards and specifications. + Verify compliance to applicable standards and other approved documentation. + Maintain files and records as required. + Communicate closely with the Quality Manager and Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure the accurate documentation of non-conforming products, workmanship deficiencies, continual improvements, and corrective actions. + Adhere to all Quality Management Systems standards and procedures. + Verify and compare all assembly documentation for accuracy and completeness. + Treat all team members with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained. + Other duties as assigned** **Qualifications:** _Required:_ + Ability to read, interpret and apply various technical data points such as prints, specifications, and utilize specialized inspection plans and hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gages, dial indicators, height gages, etc. + Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. + Solution oriented while committed to consistency and process. + Ability to work under minimal direction while keeping within the limitations of designated authorities, exercising regular use of good judgment. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able present information, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels, technical or non-technical individuals both internal and external to the company. + Have a strong knowledge base in GD&T. + Minimum three (3) years’ experience in quality inspection of machined parts, cable assemblies, and PCBA board assemblies. + Must have experience performing inspections with calipers, height gages, thread gages, micrometers, dial indicators, and other. + High school diploma or GED equivalent and 7 years of related experience. + Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, cable lists, and PCBA assembly drawings. + Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9102 REV C standards. + Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams. + Repetitive movement, long periods of standing and walking on concrete surfaces. + Ability to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls. _Desired:_ + Commitment to providing the highest quality products and services that meet or exceed the requirements and expectations of our customer, actively pursuing opportunities for continual improvements of service quality. + Prior experience in satellite, flight, and ground support assembly and fabrication. + Familiarity with IPC-610, IPC-620, NASA-STD-8739.4, and J-STD-001. + Ability to collaborate with many different teams/individuals to reach a common goal by building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation maintaining positive and professional relationships, and contributing to a culture of inclusion. - **________________________________________________________________________________________** **What You Can Expect:** **A culture of integrity.** At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
