Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $56,000-$87,000 per year with additional bonus potential
Roles & Responsibilities:
Execute MRP for materials and issue purchase orders to ensure material availability for Operations
Reviews production schedules needs against inventory levels and storage capacity in order to plan inbound bulk materials to meet operational needs
Expedites with suppliers or explore alternative solutions to mitigate any know material shortages
Communicates any known or potential material shortages delays or issues, while also working to develop solutions with suppliers and internal resources.
Attend the Daily Production Communication meeting to report issues and status
Maintains files such as inventory records and delivery performance reporting in order to identify trends and seek opportunities for improvement in overall service
Records complaints and takes action to resolve, as needed, should quality or delivery failures occur
Manages transition of components related to reformulations, redesigns, new product introductions, and item discontinuation.
Interacts with R&D, Procurement, Scheduling, Sales Planning, Suppliers, and Category Planners to plan and execute smooth transition plans
Maintains target inventory levels by monitoring inventory levels and appropriately recommends cost-reducing inventory actions to management
Support Corporate Procurement Managers in the implementation of any Divisional or Plant Cost Savings initiatives
Review and assist to resolve invoicing discrepancies in SAP via either MRBR or VIM
Preforms other duties as assigned
Skills, Experience and Education:
Strong computer skills including knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office and SAP/ERP experience.
Good verbal & written communication and presentations skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to various levels of the organization
Self-starter with flexibility to meet challenging priorities; understands the urgency of situations and acts accordingly
Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to make decisions with imperfect information, coupled with the ability to develop and adhere to strong processes
Possess a positive and proactive approach to problems and opportunities
Education:
High School or equivalent Required
Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum Experience Preferred:
Three or more years of related experience in purchasing/materials planning is strongly preferred.
Experience with SAP ERP environment preferred.
Travel Requirements: Minimal.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to perform the following: standing, climbing, pulling, and or pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and stooping.
Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
Good hand/eye coordination, motor skills, 20/20 corrected vision and hearing within the normal range.

Must wear all required personal protection equipment associated with specific manufacturing work environment and job duties as stated in the Employee Handbook, posted policies, or as assigned by leadership personnel.
Maintain clean and safe working environment and follow all safety policies and procedures, such as lock out/tag out, safe lifting techniques, and all others as instructed.
Inform Management of any food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become noncompliant with specified requirements.
Food Safety:
Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required.
Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
