The role
As a Material Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for managing the release of demands for materials and work with internal key stakeholders to ensure that all material shortages are understood and lead mitigation efforts to avoid disruptions to the workshop.

 

Day-to-day, all activities will be coordinated via the material planner, to ensure product revision control are maintained with no adverse effects to workshop production. You’ll create and distribute material availability and shortage reports to stakeholders and provide transparency to management and insights to performance.

 

Engage with internal stakeholders in continuous improvement activities within the Material planning function. Raise and release purchase requisitions towards procurement based on system demand profiles. Evolve existing processes through continuous improvement tasks aiming for greater discipline and control and documentation within all functions as they relate to the planning function.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home along with UK and international travel. 

 

Essential experience of the Material Planner:

Considerable experience within an engineering planning environment Experienced user of MRP systems and/or tools
