As a Material Handler, you will inspect, receiving, assembling, packing, loading, and securing both raw materials and finished products for inventory or shipment. You will ensure accurate and efficient material movement, supporting production requirements and delivery of products to customers. Under the guidance of the Manufacturing Supervisor, this position offers the opportunity to work in an environment where you will help ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, and smooth operational flow.
You Will:
Pick and pack products for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
Move materials among value streams and load/unload products from delivery trucks.
Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders, maintain inventory accuracy, and use scanning devices for tracking.
Perform put-away processes, maintain bin locations, and create labels or move tickets as needed.
Understand various shipping methods, including special packing for SAG accounts and export procedures.
Maintain replenishment systems (Kanban) and follow docking plate and chocking procedures for safe loading operations.
Complete industrial lift truck certifications (as needed) and operate forklifts in accordance with safety standards.
Use the ERP system to guide daily tasks and remain proficient in computer programs relevant to shipping and receiving.
You Have:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of experience in material handling or a similar role.
Familiarity with products, crating, and material handling methods.
1+ year of forklift experience, with required certifications/licensing for powered industrial vehicles.
Must be certified/licensed for powered industrial vehicles used in the department and meet all skills training required.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
