Your Role
The Material Handler II is an Intermediate level Material Handler role ensuring material and product is moved to and from production operations in a safe and quality focused manner. This is a C Shift position 10:00PM- 6:00AM. Duties include:
Execute the movement, protection, storage and control of materials and products to manufacturing, warehousing, and disposal. Role requires the safe operation of material handling equipment such as hand trucks, Vertical Lift Machines, and other related equipment. Role requires entry and verification of transactions for all materials handled. Perform basic troubleshooting and investigations.Perform material handling duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and Safety Specifications and GMP standards. Duties will also include packing, scanning, labeling, and counting materials. Verify accuracy of orders and complete documentation per GMP standards. Ensure a clean and orderly workspace. Proactive identification of safety, quality, and productivity concerns. Actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the work area and the site. Participate in sustainability efforts. Communicate and participate in shift changeover with colleagues and leads. Escalate issues to the next level (operations, lead, supervisor, etc.) to prevent excessive downtime/scrap material. Supports entry level material handlers. Perform basic level troubleshooting and investigations. Work effectively on a team. Works under limited supervision. Pass a visual acuity test.Work in a clean room environment.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
1+ year of work experience in a material handling or warehousing position in a fast-paced GMP manufacturing environment. High school diploma or GED required. 1+ years’ experience with ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or related environment. Certified in all areas of Material Handling or equivalent relevant experience. Basic knowledge of EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements. Intermediate computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Reliable and self-motivated. Read, follow and understand operating procedures and documentation. Certified trainer or equivalent. Experience handling chemical and hazardous materials. Proven verbal and written communication skills.
