A Material Handler II job is available in Tacoma, Washington at Milgard Windows and Doors. You should have prior experience in a warehouse environment loading trucks with the ability to lift 50 pounds. Prior Forklift experience is required, along with the ability to be certified in-house. You will have Previous experience in a shipping environment, preferably in a window manufacturing environment. The hourly compensation range is between $23.00 to $26.45, depending on experience.

Material Handler II job responsibilities include:  

Perform departmental activities per standard operating procedures.   Offload vinyl bundles, receive into Frontier system and put away into inventory locations.  Assist in running vinyl insert bundle machine and cutting sample chips.  Receive material and verify against packing slip.  Ensure orders are complete per documentation.  Secure loads in a proper fashion to minimize damage and breakage.  Maintain stocked inventory. Pull orders from stocked inventory as directed.   Maintain proper paperwork accounting for all shipments, noting any discrepancies. Receive raw material and verify against the packing slip. Label materials accurately.  Assist in preparation for and completion of cycle counts and physical inventory.   Proper usage of personal protective equipment. 

Qualifications: 

Previous material receiving/handling experience is preferred.  High School diploma or GED. Forklift certification is required, along with the ability to be certified in-house Compute basic math problems to include fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to discern colors.  Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.  Hand dexterity and strength. Overtime may be required, including some weekends.
