This position is responsible for supporting production by maintaining warehouse accuracy and being prompt with parts requests; this is vital to production success.  This position requires an individual that is highly focused on safety and can handle a high volume of parts requests, as well as, having the ability to prioritize.  It is essential that a Material Handler can work successfully both independently and as part of a diverse team.  Role is responsible for continuously striving to improve productivity, effectiveness, quality, and safety. 

 

Work Schedule:

Monday – Thursday

Days: 6:00 am – 4:00 pm Highlights of your role Read, sort and process complete orders. Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages. Ability to read and understand visual and written assembly instructions on a computer screen to retrieve parts from a pick list. Issue parts to the lines as needed and operate a forklift to move/deliver parts to the line in a timely manner. Operate power hand tools, scanners, computers, and work with various other equipment. Assist with the upkeep of warehouse inventory and with the loading and unloading trucks. Receive cross-training in multiple functions within and between various departments. Maintain a safe work environment by following safety rules and participating in reporting of unsafe conditions or instances.  Maintaining housekeeping by having clean docks and warehouse aisles; stack material neatly and safely. Maintain an accurate inventory.  Compensation Starting at $22 per hour, based on experience You're a good fit if you have (or if you can) A high school diploma or GEDPrevious forklift experienceStrong self-motivation, communication skills, computer skills, and attention to detail Also want to make sure you have Lift, carry, push and pull a range of objects weighing 10 lbs. to 80 lbs.Bend, twist, stoop, and climbStand and walk on concreteAbility to acquire and retain forklift/industrial vehicle licenses required for this role.
