Location: Ballard, WA

Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM, M-F

Pay: $21-22

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Material Handler to join our team. The role involves order picking, material preparation, inventory management, and ensuring the timely and accurate handling of materials. The ideal candidate will also contribute to process improvements and uphold high standards of quality and safety.

ResponsibilitiesPick orders at least 2 weeks prior to production start date.Maintain ERP accuracy when transacting parts into work in process (WIP).Document scrap and material changes to maintain stock and manufacturing order accuracy.Ensure production has ample raw material to maintain on-time builds.Prepare materials, primarily by cutting fabrics and plastics to set dimensions.Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.Help identify and implement process improvements throughout the company.Take initiative to assist co-workers when able.Consistently be at work and arrive on time.Ensure work responsibilities are sufficiently handed off during absences.Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.Continuously seek ways to improve and promote quality.Apply feedback constructively to enhance performance.Monitor your own work to ensure high quality.Adhere to safety and security procedures.Be on your feet throughout the workday and lift up to 50 lbs.Essential SkillsExperience using a forklift and other material handling equipment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word.Strong inventory management skills and attention to detail.Ability to pull material to fulfill orders properly.Check incoming deliveries to ensure all ordered material meets quality standards.Receive and check incoming pick tickets.Perform material prep to ensure adequate stock levels.Package orders and place them on trucks for delivery.Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed.Document orders, materials, and stock movements accurately.Additional Skills & QualificationsComfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is based in a warehouse adjacent to a manufacturing environment. You will be on your feet throughout the workday and must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. The environment is fast-paced, requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
