General Purpose:

\r\n\r\n

Responsible for various duties within the material function such as inventory control, material planning and distribution.

\r\n\r\n

Principle Accountabilities:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tComputes amount of material required to complete job orders.\r\n\tReviews production schedules and related information and confers with purchasing to determine adequacy of raw materials.\r\n\tRequisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to production plan, job order priorities and material availability, avoiding excess inventory positions.\r\n\tExamines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.\r\n\tArranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, moving or transporting materials from one department to another.\r\n\tCompiles and maintains both manual and computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials.\r\n\tCreates, updates, executes and analyzes reports.\r\n\tGathers data, tracks, posts and pitches for action plans and root analysis.\r\n\tPrioritizes data entry activities.\r\n\tExamines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.\r\n\tMonitors and controls movement of material and parts for accurate inventory.\r\n\tWrites procedures, updates them in document control.\r\n\tFollows all distribution related ISO procedures, and Material Handling Guidelines.\r\n\tConducts training sessions for department's MRP procedures. \r\n\tAdministers the inventory cycle count program, reconciles discrepancies, resolves issues, and analyzes inventory cycle count reports.\r\n\tIdentifies parts and supplies that need to be ordered to maintain specified stocking levels.\r\n\tAnalyzes stock usage, and determines correct stocking levels.\r\n\tInvestigates unusual high usage of materials and parts, and suggests methods of correcting problem found.\r\n\tStocks and issues materials or merchandise.\r\n\tResponsible for adding new part numbers to current inventory based on input from manufacturing.\r\n\tVerifies the accuracy of the material kit vs. the pick list for correct parts by checking that all parts are packaged and contained in the kit.\r\n\tTracks defect levels on inspected kits, calculates quality performance, charts results, develops process improvements and schedules work of others.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Education / Experience

\r\n\r\n

Typically requires completion of high school, vocational training, or equivalent with experience in the use of computer applications plus one year of general clerical experience. May require minimal functional process knowledge.

Shift: Monday-Friday 9 am-5:15 pm $18.50 an hour. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: typing, telephones, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and database systems. Requires the ability to type accurately. Acquires job skills and learns Flex policies/ procedures on the job

Work Environment:

\r\n\r\n

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work that requires repetitive motion. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
