West Palm Beach Geared Turbo Fan Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (WPB GTF MRO) Materials Team has an opening for a Materials Buyer SIOP who will support the business in the effort of sales, inventory & operations planning. You will be an integral leader in the process of driving Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP) across all functions within  WPB GTF MRO. This includes net inventory planning, end to end variance analysis, development of real time problem resolution reports, cost reductions initiatives and vendor management.

The successful candidate will have working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems in a manufacturing environment and utilizes data-driven decision making to enable effective material availability and forecasting for vendor on time deliveries.

This role requires daily collaboration across a variety of functional areas through data analysis to maintain organizational goals and objectives. These groups include Operations, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, PW Spares, Shipping & Receiving, Supply Chain and External Vendors. The individual in this role will need to quickly develop credibility and influence while leveraging strong skills, aligning the execution plan to meet critical customer deadlines and financial targets.

What You Will Do:

Ensuring the ordering of material details and buyer queue to meet specific engine sales order requirements

Coordinate and expedite purchase orders and update material resource planning (MRP) in SAP

Monitor and communicate material shortage risks and mitigation opportunities

Attend in-person daily production meetings to report on material and vendor status, address urgent issues and determine material availability analysis, tracking, and reporting updates

Support ad hoc management and operations requests for information, analysis, and improvement opportunities

Investigate and drive resolution of materials inventory and purchase order issues that directly impact financials and engine turnaround time

Utilize our internal continuous improvement operating system to standardize and drive process improvements for the materials team

Review on engine material technical requirements prior to engine inductions to ensure proper material sourcing

Able to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally when circumstances permit

What You Will Learn:

Problem-solving & risk mitigation – build experience in identifying materials supply risks, troubleshooting material issues, and developing proactive solutions to prevent disruptions

Develop skills in managing supplier relationships to improve order commitments to ensure seamless material flow

Cross-functional collaboration by working closely with planners, operations, finance, spares, and engineering to align materials with operational objectives

Learn to monitor inventory, analyze usage trends, and optimize inventory turns to ensure the right materials are available at the right time while reducing excess and obsolete inventory

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience to include Materials, Operations, Supply Chain or Advanced degree and 3 years of experience to include Materials, Operations or Supply Chain.

Experience analyzing large sets of data with attention to detail

Experience with MS office Excel-Pivot Tables, Lookups and PowerPoint-create presentations

SAP experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

Ability to read and interpret technical data such as engine manuals, service bulletins, and engineering authorizations

Experience leading and planning work priorities

Product organizational skills and experience in materials order execution

Able to communicate and make presentations to senior level leadership

Working knowledge of material planning strategies

This role is:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
