Here, at P&G's Reading Plant, we manufacture Gillette and Old Spice products, including some of the world’s most popular shaving preparations, deodorants and anti-perspirants.
As the Material and Process Development (MPD) Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the initiatives master plan, leading and executing trials of new initiatives, as well as supporting site in loss elimination journey related to material issues. Because of this you will be required to have strong collaboration skills as you will be working in a cross-functional team. You will be expected to provide input, gather data and information from a range of internal and external sources for the master plan and coordinate the execution of the initiative plan on time.

You will be responsible for the managing of our initiatives master plan from both our shave (Gillette) and beauty (Old Spice) care organisations. This means leading and executing trials of new materials for our products, new designs of our products or supplier changes.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Working as part of a team to ensure successful management and delivery of our initiatives master plan.Conduct tests to assess the performance and suitability of the initiative changes.Document and analyse the data gathered and use this to recommend improvements.Lead the technical and supply chain readiness of initiatives, identifying, communicating, and mitigating technical and supply-related risks.Ensure initiative deliverables meet business needs by providing input to the strategic direction of the work to be done.Collaborate with partners in Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to identify creative solutions for technology development.Help design robust project technical learning plan, identify risks early, and ensure timely project execution with excellence.Clarify business objectives, define success criteria, and communicate issues effectively to drive decision-making.Support the initiative team to ensure on-time commercial, technical, and market readiness.What We Offer You:

What We Look For:High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in packaging technology, materials science, or a related field is preferred.Experience in a packaging technician or material/process development work is a plus.Familiarity with master data management systems and databases.Ability to plan and execute trials, analyze data, and draw meaningful conclusions.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with different teams.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlinesRight To Work:
