Master Scheduler - Production
Ensuring Chart’s Success…

The Master Scheduler leads the scheduling team, plans and oversees the preparation of production schedules for manufacturing and works closely with production operations, production planning, quality, engineering, and related departments to ensure timely deliveries. This is a fast-paced environment that requires a self-starter.  This position must be able to work independently and be a team player.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be… Develop a Master Production Schedule using the business plan and monitors the production output adjusting schedules as necessary. Develop and manage daily/weekly assembly build plan by working closely with operations team to identify and address any bottlenecks or other issues that may impact production schedules. Work closely with manufacturing leadership and engineering to ensure capacity plans are current and achievable Data analysis and reporting of key performance indicators, such as delivery performance, backlog and performance to master schedule Provide leadership with risks, opportunities, and recommended actions to ensure acceptable service level Manage the planning team, including delegate day-to-day responsibilities, performance and training Partner with inventory team to escalate and/or resolve problems to reduce production delays Provide direction for Engineering Change cut in dates and help facilitate deviations Perform other duties as assigned Your Education Should Be… Bachelor’s degree Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… This position will require the ability to regularly move around the production floor and investigate issues during the manufacturing process. Exposure to metal cutting, welding odors, welding flash and incidental acceptable limits of x-ray radiation. Possible exposure to chemical odors and temperature extremes. Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and occasional crawling. Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. and occasionally heavier (50-60 lbs.) with assistance   Employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and talk or hear. Required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Your Professional Experience Should Be… Minimum 5 years planning and scheduling experience for a medium to large manufacturing facility APICS certification, a plus MS Office experience required. Previous supervisory or experience working in a lead role, a plus. Knowledge of JD Edwards E1, a plus. Excellent communication and organizational skills Chart is an equal opportunity employer...
