Job Description
This role involves creating and managing production schedules for assigned product lines to ensure timely delivery to customers. You will need to review and adjust schedules based on part availability and customer demands, while collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient use of labor resources. The job also requires clear communication regarding any changes to production schedules and delivery timelines.
Responsibilities
+ Review the master schedule for upcoming assigned product line requirements.
+ Develop the schedule of production for assigned product lines to ensure on-time customer delivery.
+ Adjust production schedules as needed based on part availability and customer demands.
+ Collaborate with production, procurement, engineering, and sales teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient use of labor resources.
+ Provide clear communication regarding changes to production schedules and delivery timelines.
+ Compile and oversee in-plant distribution of work assignments.
+ Report on production progress, identifying potential delays or issues that may impact delivery timelines.
+ Review and analyze sales forecasts, historical data, and customer orders to determine future production needs.
+ Adjust schedules to meet emergencies caused by extended leave or increased production demands.
+ Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings.
+ Complete special projects as assigned.
+ Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, and documents.
Skills and Qualifications Required
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
+ 3+ years of experience in production scheduling or manufacturing planning in a similar industry.
+ Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
+ Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory control, and capacity planning.
Work Environment
You will work in a collaborative environment, engaging with production, procurement, engineering, and sales teams. The role requires flexibility to adjust schedules based on emergencies and customer demands. Regular participation in scheduled meetings and the ability to complete special projects as assigned are essential. The work environment involves maintaining all necessary paperwork, records, and documents accurately and efficiently.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00
