Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, type of material received, shipped, in inventory, and/or in production. Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules. Assists in determining possible and actual shortages, may initiate action to correct these deficiencies. Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and sequence and lead time of each operations to meet shipping dates. Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.
Reporting Relationships:
The Master Scheduler reports directly to the Production Control Manager.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain overall production and delivery schedules using MRP data and system.Implement Work Center goals and objectives in partnership with department manager(s).Work with Supervisors to coordinate production flow and prioritization.Plan and establish work schedules to meet production requirements using capacity data.Provide daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling metrics, including daily release, material and standards availability, adherence, on time to start, Held-for, and other reports as required by programs and departmental processes. Level production areas based on MRP scheduling data and requirements. Coordinate with production and inventory personnel for shortages as identified through MRP scheduling operations. Provide statuses to Program Management and area supervision as required. Identify and troubleshoot scheduling bottlenecks. Provide Continuous Improvements to the Scheduling process, including but not limited to evaluating target lot quantifies so as to balance operational set-up times and inventory targets, developing and maintaining capacity planning tools. Perform other duties as assigned.

Level of Education:
