Northern Light A.R. Gould Department: Facilities Management Position is located:Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital Work Type: Full Time Hours Per Week: 40.00 Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Summary: The Master Electrician performs electrical installation/replacement throughout the Hospital facilities, performs high level electrical skills for all non-clinical electrical equipment. The Master Electrician will also work with the maintenance team for general maintenance duties for operations and general upkeep of the facilities. Responsibilities: + Performs all nature of licensed electrical skills. + Knows all applicable electrical codes both local and state. + Must be able to understand schematics, read blueprints, and interpret written technical specifications. + Must be knowledgeable in emergency and high voltage systems. + Completes work orders, preventative work orders, projects, and call-ins, in order of urgency or as directed by Maintenance Manager. + Must be able to keep good records and be proficient in preventive maintenance techniques for all hospital electrical systems. + Adheres to applicable infection control and safety policies at all times. + Performs basic mechanical skills. + Able to maintain and troubleshoot hospital's electrical systems. + Capable of installing new equipment. + Must be able to perform Lock Out/Tag Out on equipment. + Maintains Fire Panels (Troubleshooting, Cleaning, Preventive Maintenance). + Maintains Nurse Call Systems (Troubleshooting, Repairs, Programming, Preventive Maintenance). + Elevators (Preventive Maintenance, Scheduling Service). + Generators (Preventive Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Scheduling Service). + Televisions (Troubleshooting, Install, Programming). + Radios and Ham Radio (Preventive Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Material ordering). + Overhead Paging System (Troubleshooting, New Installs, Material Ordering). + Telephones (Troubleshooting, New Installs, Material Ordering). + Cameras (Troubleshooting, New Installs, Material Ordering).Data (Troubleshooting, New Installs, Cable Run, Testing). + Maintains Facilities Property Lights both Interior and Exterior. Other Information: Must obtain Boiler Operators license within three years of hire.
