ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

Support the Marketing and Player Development teams at Hollywood Casino Tunica and 1st Jackpot Casino Tunica with flexibility to adapt daily between properties, duties and tasks assigned.Assists in the development and execution of all promotions, gift giveaways, entertainment acts and special events while supporting departmental compliance to established budget.Ability to perform VIP Host, Marketing Specialist, and Social Media Coordinator duties at both Hollywood Casino Tunica and 1st Jackpot Casino Tunica.Greets guests and proactively seeks to own the customer service experience.Performs outbound telemarketing and supports Executive Hosts and Casino Hosts while ensuring customer expectations are exceeded.Books and coordinates reservation requests for rooms, food, transportation, events, tickets or other guest requests as deemed appropriate. Builds loyalty and increases frequency with guests by providing excellent service. Issues comps and makes appropriate comp decisions based on level of play, tier, and guest loyalty.Supports the efforts and projects of the VP of Marketing, Regional Director of Player Development, Player Development Manager, Marketing Manager, Regional Social Media Manager, and other teammates as requested.Coordinates internal support related to each special event, promotion, or entertainer for all appropriate departments.Coordinates with Creative Services to properly fulfill all printed material requirements for promotions, special events, entertainment, and VIP parties.Analyzes the effectiveness and success of promotions, special events, entertainment and VIP parties.Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.Supports and administers operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.Responsible for adhering to all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.Must have a strong work ethic, embrace change, and have a positive attitude regardless of duties assigned.Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Associate’s degree in marketing, management, finance or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of casino host, special events, or promotions experience preferred.Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook); experience with casino-based applications a plus.Possess excellent oral and written communication skills; strong guest service skills required.Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.Must be willing to work independently and have the courage to make decisions based on the facts presented.

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, guests, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
