Marketing Manager – Customer Insight

Basic salary range £30,000 - £35,000 with car allowance or lease (job need), pension, critical illness pay, life assurance, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Customer & Brand Director, the Customer Insight Marketing Manager’s key area of focus is to develop and embed a suite of customer-led insights to support the business and individual functions and to drive improved commercial performance.

Custodian of core insights such as market insight, media investment activity across the sector, consumer insights, competitor activity, brand health, awareness, and consideration.

Accountable for the brand tracking platform and associated outcomes.

Develop a cadence to embed all customer insights into the business activities with the ambition to continuously improve our customer focussed activities and commercial outcomes.

Position Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Custodian of customer, market, and marketing insights such as brand health, market health, customer sentiment and purchase intent, media activity and investment reporting Custodian of the Brand tracking platform, surveys, and insights. Holds relationships with chosen platform provider. Develop customer segmentation strategy based on insights and data and in conjunction with the CRM team. Establish actionable customer personas that support brand, media and marketing campaign development and delivery. Work collaboratively and cross-functionally across all areas of the business to generate, collate, and communicate & embed customer and market insights, including Operational Directors/GVP’s, marketing managers. Accountable for developing the process in which to embed the meeting and presentation cadence across the business to ensure that insights are shared in a timely and relevant manner. Work cross functionally with the customer experience team to share inbound customer insights and reputation reporting. Collaborate on insights that will improve end to end customer experiences. Provide regular updates to the business that support with relevant areas’ strategies, activities, and campaigns – such as brand tracking & health, customer sentiment, purchase intent and sector campaigns & media investments Monitor ongoing brand health for each brand, track and report changes and recommend strategies for review and improvement. Monitor competitors brand health aligned to market conditions and investment strategies through media tracking insights available, identifying any best practices and /or areas of opportunity for our brands. Create quarterly reporting on brand health and customer insights and present clear and concise insights to all areas of the business, including c-suite level. Set targets to achieve improvements ie brand awareness Work collaboratively with any third parties to gain and gather customer and marketing insights Demonstrable leaderships skills that role model the key values of the business Budget management accountabilities

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of customer and market insights Commercially and results driven with a customer-centric mindset Experience within retail marketing or other similar, fast-paced industry, preferably with understanding of automotive retail Experience in leading customer and market insights/customer segmentation agendas desirable A self-starter, a problem-solver who is highly organised and able to prioritise and deliver to deadlines Proven communication and reporting skills Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to multi-task, working cross-functionally with key stakeholders and manage time effectively under pressure, plus a dedication to excellence. Excellent communication and presentation skills Positive attitude with hands-on approach.
