Location Description Moments away from the rest of the world, but a world away from it all, Stonewall Resort is a truly unique lakeside destination for vacations, meetings, weddings, reunions, and romantic getaways. Our rustic yet elegant Adirondack-style lodge and spectacular cottage collection is perched alongside quiet lake waters and the Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course, while surrounded by 1,900 picture-perfect, “Close to Nature” park acres. Overview Execute marketing activities for the property as directed by the Director of Sales and Marketing and the General Manager. Create and execute local e-marketing campaigns and make changes to the property’s web site. Coordinate initiatives with marketing partners and maintain applicable planning documents. REPORTS TO: Directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing. On-going communication and collaboration with the property’s General Manager, Director of Conference Services, Director of Rooms, Area Director of Revenue Management and Resort’s Marketing and Advertising partners. POSITION SUMMARY: Manage and maintain property website. Plan and execute media strategy within budget levels. Coordinate social media efforts. Develop internal marketing communications. Coordinate e-marketing efforts. Maintain multiple event calendars. Write and coordinate tourism marketing grant efforts. Communicate with internal departments to develop a weekly activity guide. Run weekly, monthly and quarterly Sales Reports. Provide additional assistance as directed by the Director of Sales and Marketing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage the property’s web site. Work with property departments to ensure web sections are accurate, current and effective. Ensure Internet Specials and other promotions are optimized for maximum sales. Work with agencies to ensure the web site is optimized for search engine returns and PPC ads are providing maximum ROI. Execute agreed upon direct marketing campaigns. Create and implement local e-mail campaigns Coordinate with agency on execution of primary direct marketing initiatives. Coordinate e-mail capture program in all outlets. Coordinate advertising campaigns. Facilitate the tracking and reporting of all marketing expenditures. Facilitate social media web sites and campaigns. Create/manage social media web sites including Facebook, Twitter, etc. Manage pro-active posting and follow to travel sites including Trip Advisor, Yahoo Travel, etc. Coordinate agreed upon public relation activities including press visits and events with outside agency. Coordinate marketing and PR related to special events. Oversee hotel’s databases, ensuring PMS, dining and spa data is integrated Sales and Marketing Reports Prepares and distributes daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly sales and marketing reports to sales staff, directors and the Home Office including: Group rooms booking pace, YTD sales production, sales manager bookings activity, STAR lead generation, and lost business. Owner presentation reports. Produces reports and graphs for and coordinates property’s annual Marketing Plan. Coordination and formulation of custom reports for various marketing, forecasting and operational purposes. Reports as requested by the Director of Sales and Marketing or other departments. Maintains folders for and master copies of Group Pace, Sales Production, STAR Lead reports. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain a professional demeanor at all times and maintain work area in a professional, orderly manner. Present a positive company image through all phases of public and/or customer interaction. Interface positively with other departments, offering assistance when needed. ENVIRONMENT: Carpeted and hard floor, desk, mobile desk chair, well-lit office with good ventilation. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of college, degree desirable Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent computer skills, including desk top publishing Marketing experience in a relevant field; hospitality experience a plus Must be able to analyze data and communicate effectively with peers and superiors in a positive manner. Ability to listen, speak and write English to ascertain and respond to vendor needs.
