Marketing Manager, Newport

Vertu Motors plc. was formed in late 2006 and are now the UK's 4th largest motor retailer with over 190 dealerships across the length and breadth of the UK, from Dunfermline to Exeter. Our business has grown dramatically over the years and we now represent 33 brands including Bristol Street Motors, Macklin Motors and Vertu Honda. Due to our continued success, we are now recruiting for an Marketing Manager to join to join us to support both our Vansdirect and Taxi Centre businesses.

As Marketing Manager, you will be taking the lead for Marketing  for our Vansdirect and Taxi Centre businesses.   You will be responsible for development and delivery of the marketing plans including both online and offline marketing channels to deliver on our business goals..

Based at our offices in Newport we are able to offer hybrid working for this role with a salary of £40,000. This role will involve occasional travel to our head office in Gateshead and to our Taxi Centre team in Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities of this role will include:

Deliver required enquiries and leads to meet business goals Work closely with key business stakeholders to define and deliver marketing plans and additional ongoing tactical opportunities to meet objectives Work with Product team to improve online customer experience leading to improved website performance, driving more leads Work with CRM team to develop conquest & retention email plans that deliver on goals Work with SEO & PPC teams to improve performance of channels to drive more leads as cost effectively as possible Budget ownership across marketing channels to deliver a strong ROI across all marketing activity Lead and develop the Marketing Executive Regular (monthly) visits to both Vans Direct and Taxi Centre to maintain close relationships; review activity and identity opportunities to improve performance

For this role we are looking for you have experience in developing Marketing and Ecommerce strategies as this is essential to ensure the required market share growth of the businesses. Project management skills are paramount to deliver timely marketing campaigns whist managing development opportunities.

You will be a self-starter who is able to identify new opportunities and gain buy in from senior stake holders. You will have strong analytical skills and an eye for detail. Proven experience of managing media and advertising creative across the channel mix is required

Skills and Experience

Broad Marketing skill set with a Digital bias Excellent communication and project management skills An ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insight to create solutions and actions Demonstrable experience of driving innovation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience in Broker or Commercial Vehicle marketing would be beneficial
