What You Will Do:

Lead the planning and execution of industry conference sponsorships and client events in support of the overall event strategy for the segment. Responsible for end to end event management, including: securing corporate memberships and sponsorships in alignment with business priorities and the budget, negotiating contracts, leading planning calls and acting as point of contact for planning teams and the conference organizer, managing event budgets and all logistics and deadlines related to executing sponsorships, exhibits and events (including branding, communication, attendee management/registration, speaker management, food and beverage, audiovisual, and meeting space management). Some events will require in person on-site event management coordination.Strategic thinker who understands how events support overall integrated marketing campaigns and programs that generate and nurture leads to drive sales for the segment.Follow documented procedures and protocol related to all aspects of events.Manage third-party vendor and industry organization relationships, leveraging industry memberships to further organization’s business priorities.Ensure that all vendor invoices are processed on time, additional budget requests are discussed and approved before executing, and that expenses are properly categorized.Define and execute pre, during and post event communications activities.Write and edit content for marketing emails and employ best practices across digital marketing and social media channels.Proactively track, analyze, and report ROI metrics for memberships, events, and other marketing programs.


What You Will Need:

Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, communications, journalism or a related field preferred; Four (4) years additional professional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Ability to travel 20% of the time and work across time zones4+ years of marketing and communications experience requiredTradeshow and event management and execution experience requiredExperience working in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional organization requiredHighly motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detailDemonstrated project management and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlinesOutstanding writing and copyediting skills are required, with the ability to adapt communications to different audiencesStrong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to effectively and professionally communicate and interact with various levels of management, including senior leadershipAccountability, accuracy, and ownership is expectedThe ability to work effectively under pressure using critical thinking to make decisions independentlyProactive and solution-orientedProficiency in Microsoft Office PowerPoint and ExcelAbility to comprehend, analyze, and interpret campaign and other metrics in order to shape decisions made from the data and report ROICandidates must be located in EST or CST time zones in order to be considered or be willing to work an EST schedule


What Would Be Nice To Have:

Experience in either professional services or consulting preferredExperience in public sector marketing preferred

The annual salary range for this position is $68,000.00-$113,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
