Marketing Events Finance Leader

We are looking for a proven high performer to take the lead defining and driving a new financial model, partnership, and business rhythm focusing on outcomes that:

Partners closely with business leads across the Creative, Technology & Broadcast Operations, Production Studios, and Event Sponsorships teams to understand and influence drivers of revenue (e.g., ticket sales and corporate sponsorships), expense, and identify and mitigate business risk.Establish and build clear lines of communication with multiple funding teams to drive budget and execution accountability.Connect Event spend with outcome to ensure Marketing and Finance leadership understand and measure what we are getting from our investment.Help budget owners understand tradeoff levers within their portfolio and associated impact thus driving the right investments being made at the right time.

The Function Marketing finance team stewards Marketing investments for the Global Media & Partnerships; Communications; Monetization & Business Planning; and Global Demand Center teams. This team is part of the Marketing & Consumer Sales Finance team and the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Finance organization.

 

This Marketing Events Finance Leader role allows you to be at the heart of our Microsoft Events and Production Studios function by providing strategic guidance, collaborating closely with marketing partners, supporting the rhythm of business, and finding and driving process improvements. Those who will thrive in this role will develop deep interest in first and third-party Events; and are eager to take on challenges and work through ambiguity.  This is your opportunity to start fresh and build a new financial partnership model from the ground up!
