SummaryThe Marketing Director, China will work under the General Manager, China to develop the China marketing team, build annual marketing plans and metrics and will work closely with the Corporate Marketing department to ensure alignment, launch marketing campaigns and monitor global market trends. The Marketing Director will work in Shanghai, ChinaWhat are we looking for?Bachelor’s or above degree in Marketing, Business or other related field is preferred10+ years of food or CPG marketing experienceProficiency with marketing strategy, portfoliao management and brand building.Prior success managing a P&L and taking a leading brand to the next level of expansion and revenue growthA track record of success in devising strategies and implementing tactics to drive results.Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods.Demonstrated ability to build, manage and mentor high-performance marketing teams.Passion and commitment to be part of a team of pet lovers culture that go beyond just marketing.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Excellent organizational abilities, including planning, prioritization, and execution skills.Excellent time management skills and ability to work well under pressure to meet set deadlines.Self-directed, with ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team.Good interpersonal skills, with ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with diverse individuals or groups.Proficient in Enlish, both verbal and written.What will be your key responsibilities?Define the charter and goals for the China marketing team, including recruiting, developing and retaining talent;Work in close partnership with global CMO and global corporate marketing to support implementation of ACANA / ORIJEN global brand positioning and standards in the China region.Partner with China management and sales teams to build annual marketing plans with distributors and retailersLaunch new products, launch in new markets and refresh go-to-market strategies for existing products.Forecast, measure and analyze impact of programs; produce reports and dashboards to demonstrate campaign progress and region/market/retailer success.Lead Customer Marketing and Support Direct Accounts management.Manage Marketing co-op budget pre-approval and coordinate payment requests with Finance.Work closely with corporate marketing groups including: Marketing Communications, Product and Shop + Shelf/Education/Experience (S.E.E.) to launch local campaigns focused on sales velocity and engagement from retail accounts. Hands on work in salesforce.com required.Contribute to the planning and execution of global trade and consumer shows and events with distributors, retailers, consumers and industry leaders.
