Job Description:

Summary

The Marketing Director, China will work under the General Manager, China to develop the China marketing team, build annual marketing plans and metrics and will work closely with the Corporate Marketing department to ensure alignment, launch marketing campaigns and monitor global market trends.

What are we looking for?

 Bachelor’s Degree

10+ years of food or CPG marketing experience

Proficiency with traditional and digital marketing, field marketing, marketing communications and merchandising.

Prior success managing a P&L and taking a leading brand to the next level of expansion and revenue growth.

A track record of success in devising strategies and implementing tactics to drive results.

Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods.

Demonstrated ability to build, manage and mentor high-performance marketing teams. 

Outstanding relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills.

Passion and commitment to be part of a team of pet lovers culture that go beyond just marketing.

Proven leadership skills that include employee development and team building abilities.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Excellent organizational abilities, including planning, prioritization, and execution skills.

Excellent time management skills and ability to work well under pressure to meet set deadlines.

Self-directed, with ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team.

Good interpersonal skills, with ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with diverse individuals or groups.

Ability to conduct presentations.

Extended hours and weekend work when required

Travel to other locations will be required

What will be your key responsibilities?

•       Define the charter and goals for the China marketing team, including recruiting, developing and retaining talents.

•       Partner with China management and sales teams to build annual marketing plans with distributors and retailers.

•       Launch new products, launch in new markets and refresh go-to-market strategies for existing products.

•       Forecast, measure, and analyze impact of programs; produce reports and dashboards to demonstrate campaign progress and region/market/retailer success.

•       Manage Marketing co-op budget pre-approval and coordinate payment requests with Finance.

•       Analyze the marketing funnel, channel mix and customer segmentation to formulate ideas and approaches to optimize cost effective ways to increase awareness, trial/consumer demand.

•       Work with China GM to lead strategic brand planning, program development and implementation (SWOT analysis, “go-to-market” strategies, prioritizing greatest volume opportunities, etc.)

•       Development and implementation of Annual Brand Plan (Objectives; KPI’s; etc.)

•       Adapt and amplify and communicate global brand strategies and sales materials within China region to assist in the sell-in and implementation of marketing priorities.

•       Develop regional marketing materials to communicate promotions effectively and direct and execute consumer programs / activation projects including tracking budgets.

•       Consumer research and Strategy development.

•       Ensure consistent brand voice and global image across all consumer touchpoints.
