The Integrated Marketing Communications Specialist leads the planning, creation, and execution of our trade brand external communications. This role involves understanding our target audiences, selecting appropriate media and platforms, and setting a content calendar to maximize engagement. This position works cross-functionally with our sales, marketing, and customer experience teams to ensure consistency in messaging and to strategically time communications for maximum impact. Responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the Trade Brands Social Media strategy for multiple brands and apps.

Define and implement a strategic approach for external communications targeting sales teams, customers, and other trade stakeholders

Determine appropriate platforms and media for each type of message, adapting content to suit different channels (e.g., newsletters, email, video, etc.)

Create and maintain a content calendar that aligns with product launches, tradeshows, events, and other critical company timelines

Set a cadence for regular communications, balancing frequency and content type to avoid audience fatigue while maximizing impact

Measure ROI on the various channels and provide recommendations for further development or canceling various channels

Draft and edit high-quality communications that are clear, concise, and aligned with brand voice and goals

Work with internal teams or create relevant content, videos, and other multimedia content as needed

Liaise with sales, marketing, product, and customer experience teams to ensure that communication goals align with business objectives

Gather insights from each team to stay informed on topics, events, and trends relevant to our audience

Assess the performance of different communication channels and adjust strategies accordingly

Continuously refine audience segmentation, using data and feedback to adapt messaging for various demographics

Ensure consistency and quality across all external communications, adhering to brand guidelines, tone, and style

Maintain an editorial style guide and develop templates or guidelines for external messaging

Collaborate with creative team & agency to concept, draft, write, and publish high-quality, original content relevant to Zurn Elkay’s channels, brands, and target audiences, including relevant company and industry issues

Coordinate with cross-functional business partners to identify and subsequently target key accounts across critical vertical markets, helping to execute paid and earned Media activities that drive demand

Monitor and respond to customer inquiries on social media outlets daily through community management, fan engagement, and content moderation on current social networks. Provide insight as needed to the marketing and customer care teams.

Monitor the social media activity of competitors and their audiences and identify relevant trends across social media

Build a brand following via the company’s social media outlets, moderate conversations; stimulate follower interaction, discussion and engagement. Develop and use a toolkit to measure and monitor social activity and provide suggestions on improving audience engagement, trends, and areas of improvement.

Maintain the CRM by keeping existing customer records updated and creating new customer records as needed, working closely with Sales to share performance-based insights on lead and demand generation including conversion rates

Day-to-day contact for our third-party PR agency, coordinating the on-time delivery of all necessary assets to support paid Media initiatives

Manage the day-to-day use of our CRM and digital marketing tools, including integrations with internal company sales platform and ABM platform Demandbase

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Arts, or Marketing

3+ years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, social media, and/or brand engagement, preferably for a national or global B2B brand

Experience using HubSpot for marketing automation and workflow management

Understanding of all major social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Houzz and Pinterest. Awareness of relevant online trends and a natural social personality are also a must. 

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Experience in content planning, calendar management, and audience segmentation

Familiarity with communication tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms

Familiarity with ABM platforms including Demandbase, Terminus, RollWorks, Foundry ABM, and others
