About the Role

Our Marketing Communications Manager will be an influential and visible leader, with the proven capacity to nurture key stakeholder relationships and will have an innate drive and curiosity to think outside the box and execute content which reflects our fresh attitude and approach.

This role requires an outstanding leader who has a natural rapport with people and is accustomed to operating within a strategic and high achieving environment. The appointee will be a planner with a creative heart and an analytical mind who demonstrates exceptional attention to detail. Skilled at balancing a varied workload with the ability to bring together project groups and internal/external teams to deliver as a united front.

Key Responsibilities

Build loyalty and awareness of Hyatt Place Melbourne Essendon Fields brand on key social sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and WeChat.Assist the Director of Sales Marketing in rolling out the social media strategyDevelop media relations and host key media hotel tours, on site filming and entertainment, both locally and in conjunction with Hyatt regional and internationally including the development of press kits, media releases and image distribution.Create pro-active and commercially focused promotional programs to drive business development and lead generation strategies.Coordinating direct marketing activities and e-marketing initiatives.Assist the Director of Sales Marketing in developing an annual calendar of monthly VIP hospitality events providing unique and exclusive entertainment opportunities and much more

Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in either Business, Marketing or Communications 2 years of experience in a marketing and/or a communications role with demonstrated ability to implement an external marketing and communications strategy within a hospitality environment.Understanding of the hospitality industry including market trends, competitor activities and client needs.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with technology including CRM systems and social media platforms.Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to focus on accuracy and detail.Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to foster and maintain professional relationships both internally and externally to the hotel.
