Description
SUMMARY
The Marketing Communications Manager (Temporary – Approx. 4 Months) drives content strategy and execution across AAA’s social media, blog and email platforms. This role is responsible for developing content in collaboration with AAA executives and panelists, maintaining the blog on adr.org, managing AAA’s social channels, and supporting internal and external communications. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer, experienced content strategist, and organized project manager who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
This is an exempt, temporary, full-time position running from June 16 to October 17, 2025. The duration may be subject to adjustments based on organizational needs.
The successful applicant will have a hybrid work arrangement, and be based out of the AAA's headquarters located in downtown Manhattan. The bi-weekly salary range for the position is $3,160 - $3,500. Please note, employees must work from their primary residence within a 125-mile radius of their assigned office or the regional city to which they are assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Content Strategy & Development
+ Lead content development for the adr.org blog—writing original content and collaborating with AAA executives, panelists and subject matter experts to produce high-quality posts.
+ Maintain and regularly update the blog page within the CMS, ensuring accurate, timely and well-formatted posts.
+ Own and manage a content calendar, coordinating blog posts, social media content and email campaigns.
Social Media Management
+ Manage AAA’s presence on LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.
+ Create compelling social media content in collaboration with the in-house Graphic Designer and external agency Big Idea (which produces eight posts/month); develop additional posts internally to support initiatives, events and blog amplification.
+ Schedule and publish content, monitor engagement, and respond to messages promptly.
+ Stay current on social media trends, tools and best practices to continuously improve reach and engagement.
Email Marketing & Newsletters
+ Write and edit the internal newsletters and other outbound communications.
+ Collaborate with the Marketing Automation Manager to build and send email campaigns in Marketo, including newsletters and ad hoc internal and external communications.
+ Support the planning and segmentation of email campaigns.
Cross-functional Collaboration
+ Partner with executives and subject matter experts to turn insights into high-quality blog and social content.
+ Coordinate with internal departments to support content requests and identify storytelling opportunities
Content Management
+ Use AAA’s content management system (CMS) to update the blog page and ensure consistency in formatting, branding and publishing standards.
+ Collaborate with the web and design teams to ensure website content is updated and visually aligned.
Analytics & Reporting
+ Track performance across blog, social media and email platforms using key performance indicators.
+ Provide regular reports and actionable insights to inform ongoing strategy and improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
5+ years of experience in content development, digital marketing or marketing communications.
Experience working directly with executives or thought leaders on content creation is a strong plus.
Skills and Tools
Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills for digital content.
Familiarity with Marketo (or similar email platforms), and ability to collaborate on audience segmentation and campaign execution.
Experience using a CMS, especially for blog updates and content publishing.
Proficiency with social media tools and understanding of platform best practices.
Project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONS

Occasional travel (~10%) may be required.
Must maintain a professional, secure home workspace if working remotely.
