SUMMARY
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator supports and coordinates various marketing and communications initiatives in order to meet BGIS’s business growth objectives.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Write, edit and craft communications as required for various external audiences ensuring consistency and adherence to corporate style guide, ensuring the highest quality of materials at all times. Develops social media content such as infographics and digital advertisements. Conducts research in support of marketing initiatives and strategy development. Provides observations and recommendations based on research data gathered. Writes non-technical content for social media, website, etc. as required. Assists in the production and/or maintenance of related materials, templates, resources. Support the expansion of BGIS’s industry outreach and visibility through global publications, tradeshows and events – both directly and with industry partners. Researches, develops and maintains list of Industry publications (Canada and US) for proactive media outreach. Assists with various trade show and industry events including registration, booth set up, coordination and development of materials, etc. Collaborates with the Marketing team to maintain and enhance external website including publishing content using CMS (Content Management System). Provides input to website layout to enhance look and feel. Writes and edits related materials including website content and marketing contents for print and online marketing etc. as assigned. Assists with presentations by organizing, designing and obtaining relevant collateral materials. As requested by Director, Marketing and Product Strategy, liaise with internal business leaders in developing and coordinating communications initiatives for public and client consumption. Acts as Subject Matter Expert and point of content for all accounts, liaising with IT as required, ensuring adherence to brand standards. Acts as Corporate Social Responsibility representative for the Marketing Team, assisting CSR Team with promotion of various campaigns throughout the year. Makes recommendations on improving morale, driving engagement, living the BGIS values and developing appropriate Team Member “celebration” moments. Special Projects as assigned. University graduation or professional certification. Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience. Effective administrative and organizational skills. Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools. Proficiency with website content management systems (CMS). Experience using social media management platforms. Strong proficiency in MS Office applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as part of a team. Demonstrated attention to detail and sense of urgency. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to perform under pressure. Ability to learn quickly and problem solve. Effective project management skills. Proficiency in survey software administration. Proactive team player.Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
