Job Summary:
The Market Vertical Leader for Commercial Markets will play a vital role in driving the growth and strategic direction of Trane Technologies' commercial HVAC business. This position will provide a vertical market perspective on our offerings and go-to-market strategies. The leader will lead a team of direct-report market vertical managers, along with an indirect, cross-functional team that includes market vertical experts, data engineers, and analysts.
The focus of the Market Vertical Leader will be on market vertical outlooks, insights, and analytics that will support business strategy and accelerate growth in high-potential verticals such as Office, Retail, Education, Healthcare, Government, Industrial, and other targeted segments. Additionally, this role will involve collaboration across our equipment, services, and digital offerings to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to market development.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of market vertical managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Coordinate and guide an indirect cross-functional team of market vertical experts, data engineers, and analysts to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.Work closely with product growth teams (PGTs) to align product offerings with the needs of each market vertical.Foster an environment that encourages collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation across the organization.Collaborate across our equipment, services, and digital value streams to create a cohesive and integrated approach to market development.Market Vertical Strategy:Develop and implement comprehensive vertical market strategies for the commercial HVAC business unit.Identify and prioritize high-growth verticals by leveraging market insights and analytics to inform strategic decisions.Market Insights and Analytics:Conduct thorough market research and analysis to understand trends, opportunities, and challenges within each vertical.Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive business growth and gain a competitive advantage.Business Development:Collaborate with sales, marketing, product management, finance and other key stakeholders to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for targeted verticals.Identify and pursue new business opportunities within high-growth verticals, building relationships with key industry stakeholders.Performance Monitoring and Reporting:Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of market vertical strategies.Regularly report on market vertical performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in market strategy, business development, or a related role in commercial markets.Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market data into actionable insights.Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business growth.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $140,000 - $196,500
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
