As a Market Risk Stress Associate within the Firmwide Market Risk Stress team, you will be involved in various aspects of stress testing, with a particular emphasis on asset class stress testing methodology and strategic technology projects. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experts across the firm to improve our stress testing framework and ensure the implementation of robust risk management practices. This role provides an opportunity to significantly influence the firm's market risk profile and regulatory interactions.
Job responsibilities
Own, develop, and maintain the Firmwide Market Risk stress testing methodology, including shock design and governance. Partner with asset class experts and Model Risk Governance and Review (MRGR) to manage the asset class FSI shock Qualitative Model (QM). Develop and oversee stress-related technology processes and controls, focusing on both BAU enhancements and strategic infrastructure. Drive data science and strategic infrastructure initiatives to modernize stress calculation, leveraging robotics, machine learning, and AI programs. Manage Trading Issuer Default Loss (IDL) submissions for internal and external regulatory exercises, performing impact analysis based on methodology and rules. Identify and mitigate operational risks, streamline processes, and enhance efficiency. Collaborate with internal and external control and audit teams to support effective risk management and audit processes. Assist in regulatory exams by analyzing, documenting, and presenting on Trading assets, coordinating with various teams.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor's degree with experience in the financial industry. Strong quantitative and analytical skills with knowledge of financial markets and product valuation. Understanding of risk sensitivities and financial product valuation, including Option Greeks. Advanced skills in analyzing large datasets using Excel, Tableau, or similar software. Experience working with technology teams on risk system enhancements and infrastructure projects. Strong control and risk management mindset with a focus on process improvement.
