Purpose of the job

The Market Intelligence Manager is responsible for analyzing, interpreting and modelling data on market trends, competitive landscapes and business performance to support strategic decision-making across the business. This role involves tracking industry developments, understanding shifts in consumer demand, scenario planning and identifying growth opportunities that align with portfolio & innovation goals to support business growth. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with strong strategic capabilities, and a passion for unlocking data driven opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategic Insights & Thought Leadership through Advanced Analytics and Modelling:

Industry Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities and potential threatsConsumer Behaviour Insights: Research and interpret consumer behaviour trends to inform product innovation, marketing strategies, and business development initiatives. Competitive Benchmarking: Regularly track and analyse competitor activities, product launches, and market positioning to identify areas for differentiation. Forecasting: Develop market forecasts and predictive models to anticipate future market conditions and align strategies with long-term business goals. Advanced analytics: Use of analytical modelling to extract greater value from data sources and provide deeper levels of insight into the available data sources. Data Integration models across sales, market share, brand equity, pricing etc to formulate a comprehensive view of market conditions. Methodology Enhancement: Continuously refine data collection and analysis methodologies to improve accuracy, relevance, and reliability of insights. Technology Utilization & Automation: Leverage advanced tools and analytics platforms (e.g., SPSS, Power BI, Tableau) to streamline data analysis and reporting processes.  Single Source of Truth: Continued striving to deliver on the need for a single source of truth in key business metrics, working cross functionally across commerce. Global Alignment in the analytics area: Keep pace with the global market and understand where and how HEINEKEN BEVERAGES could benefit from global initiatives.

 

Portfolio & Innovation Insights:

Product Portfolio Analysis: Evaluate product portfolio performance in the market, identifying gaps, and recommending potential areas for innovation or improvement. Opportunity Identification: Use data to pinpoint new business opportunities, white space, and potential market segments for portfolio expansion. Innovation Support: Collaborate with the innovation team to validate innovation concepts, using market data and consumer insights to guide development. Risk Assessment: Provide data-driven assessments of potential risks associated with new market entries, product launches, or business pivots.

 

Actionable insights built from market share measurement and estimation:

Be the custodian of market share measurement information. Manage and maintain market read and integrity of data as well as ensuring monthly reporting delivered on time in full with high quality insights which can lead to action : BPR, QPR to the region and local monitoring. Advancing our thinking in understanding the underlying drivers and causation of market share development which includes in-trade measures, brand equity and competitor or market related impact.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Data Sharing: Develop and maintain communication channels to share market insights across the organization, ensuring all teams have access to the latest data and trends.  Briefing & Presentations: Prepare and present detailed reports, dashboards, and insights to cross-functional teams, enabling data-informed decisions.  Training & Support: Educate internal stakeholders on the use and interpretation of market intelligence to enhance decision-making capabilities.

 

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:

KPI Tracking: Define and monitor KPIs for market intelligence initiatives, evaluating the impact on portfolio performance and business outcomes. Feedback Integration: Regularly solicit feedback from internal stakeholders to improve the relevance and usability of insights provided. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, data analytics advancements, and best practices to enhance market intelligence capabilities. Post-Launch Analysis: Conduct post-launch analysis for new products or market entries, providing insights into performance and improvement opportunities.

 

Job Requirements

 

1. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree or specialization in market research is a plus.

 

2. Experience:

10+ years of experience in data analytics, advanced data modelling and insight generation.
