About the Opportunity
WeWork is currently seeking a Market Director on the Broker Partnerships team who will be responsible for leading and owning broker-led sales, business development and relationship management initiatives across Chicago and other Midwest locations. This full time individual will be based in Chicago.
Working as part of the wider US & Canada (USC) Sales team, and reporting into the Head of Broker Partnerships, USC, this role will primarily focus on developing and deepening relationships within the local brokerage community, pitching WeWork's unique value proposition and product offerings, generating net new top-of-funnel deal flow, and partnering on strategic marketing initiatives; with the ultimate goal to drive transactions volume and revenue.
As a successful Market Director, Broker Partnerships, your fundamental responsibilities will include (though will not be limited to):
Develop and execute an outreach strategy for targeted real estate brokerage firms
Build a deep network of local office brokers and be the key point of contact of WeWork in the Chicago Area
Build expert knowledge and understanding of WeWork's assets and strategy in the market
Master WeWork's product offering and value proposition and actively articulate it to our broker partners and their clients
Drive top of the funnel sales opportunities through our broker partners and accurately track all associated opportunity activities within our CRM systems
Ensure that all potential leads are qualified and handed off to the appropriate WeWork Sales Lead
Arrange and conduct regular face-to-face meetings including educational presentations, broker entertainment/engagement, building tours and events to advocate WeWork's product offerings and services
Partner with the relevant Sales teams on transaction management for large broker led deals, where Real Estate expertise, negotiating skill and collaboration are crucial
Support new building launches and go-to-market strategy
Provide support for related sales promotions, events and marketing initiatives via the brokerage channel
Prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management's review as needed - including reporting on trends as well as live and future opportunities,
Consistently maintain a high level of partner satisfaction
About You:
At least 5+ years experience within the commercial real estate industry, ideally in a transaction management or deal supporting capacity though not required
Proven ability to effectively prospect and manage a sales cycle
Natural networker who thrives in building and managing new relationships
Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding revenue targets and expectations
Willingness and comfort with traveling to interface with brokers, broker teams, and the larger brokerage community
Strong team player who can make decisions and execute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Problem solver who can independently translate high-level goals into actionable plans
Strong ability to work cross functionally across both internal and external stakeholders
High level of personal credibility and interpersonal skills
Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage critical situations, short and long term initiatives
Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit
Proactive and reliable; driven to achieve team goals
Proficiency with SalesForce or a similar CRM, Google suite, PowerPoint, Excel
Base Pay and Incentive Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 annual salary, plus variable incentive pay with on target earnings of $150,000 - $200,000.

WeWork incentive plans are subject to the terms of the applicable incentive compensation plan, which will be made available to you after commencing employment.
