Senior Director – Market Development
Your role and responsibilitiesThe role of the Market Development Manager is to define and execute marketing and sales strategies for our Food & Beverage segment aimed at increasing both top line revenues and bottom line margins at the vertical market segment. The successful candidate will ensure the definition of the business plan, annual sales plans, and marketing strategies according to budget. Leadership and coaching of extended indirect teams across sales, product management, marketing and associated support teams will be critical to success.While this is a remote position, successful candidates should be located near a major US metro area. This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in the United States. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tContent and Tool creation: develop content and tool creation from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and demand generation, in collaboration with Marcom and Product Marketing. Identify additional tools needed to expand F&B market share.•\tTraining and Support: Provide F&B Market training and support to customers and sales teams including F&B solutions/products.•\tBusiness Development: Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new customers and expand existing ones, focusing on Capex, MRO, and OEM opportunities. Develops leads and feeds them into the selected leads systems. Measure from lead to purchase order.•\tProduct Promotion: Promote ABB Installation products, highlighting their benefits and applications in the F&B sector. Support planning product launches and achieving sales targets for new product launches.
Qualifications for the roleBachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field required. 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or product marketing in the electrical industry, including at least 3 years in the US Food & Beverage market. Ability to develop an in-depth understanding of ABB Installation products and their applications in the Food & Beverage industry.Ability to develop an understanding of Food & Beverage industry product requirements and performance with respect to the product portfolio. Experience with customer relations via service, visits, relationships, etc.Travel approximately 60% throughout the US as neededCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
