The Upholstery Tacker will perform all aspects of tacking associated with building production parts. Responsibilities: + Able to read and understand work instructions + Able to meet production deadlines and stay on task + Use and maintain all tools including heat gun, foam knife, staple gun, glue pot, band saw, etc. + Learn all boat part names + Learn how to read travelers + Learn colors of vinyl and threads + Learn how to foam boat parts + Learn basic tacking on simple parts + Understand ¼” compression and pull tab measurements + Understand line up with touching upholstery parts, know which way to turn seams + Learn how to build all parts except Sunpads, engine hatch and dive door hatches and pompanettes + Learn how to repair tacking errors found by QC + Willingness to cross-train and learn other areas with a good attitude + Other duties as assigned Qualifications: + High school diploma or GED preferred. + Manual dexterity + Basic knowledge of hand tools + Attention to details, deadline oriented and organized + Basic math skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a team + Good attendance and good attitude needed Physical Requirements: Including, but not limited to: + climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs. stretching, squatting and bending. + May work on knees, seated, laying down, standing up.
