Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to join our team in Seattle. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading, interpreting, and applying drawings and specifications to determine installation requirements. You should have a strong working knowledge of electrical trade mathematics and formulas to accurately calculate voltage, amperes, and resistance requirements. This role involves working with various materials such as controls, switches, distribution panels, fuses, cables, and conduit sizes, and using electronic measuring devices like voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.

ResponsibilitiesRead, interpret, and apply drawings and specifications to determine installation requirements.Calculate voltage, amperes, and resistance requirements using electrical trade mathematics and formulas.Determine the size and types of materials needed, such as controls, switches, distribution panels, fuses, cables, and conduit sizes.Install and troubleshoot electrical systems and components.Use electronic measuring devices such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.

Work Environment

This position is based in a shipyard environment, which includes working outdoors, in a shop, and on ships. Necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats and safety glasses will be provided. Steel-toed boots are required. The work environment is dynamic and involves working in various conditions and locations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
